A new grille surround. It comes unpainted, so it looks matte black. Should I get it clear coated or leave it unpainted? I really like the matte look, but I don't know how it would hold up without the clear, and wether or not the clear will make it look too shiny.

I'm not looking forward to taking the whole fascia off to install it though.

You should make it orange. Everything should be Orange :O

It would fit with my Knicks fandom. I wish my car itself was Header Orange.

Is that for a model car kit?

(kidding, because of the plastic "trees")

That was my first thought too.

Left as-is, it's basically impervious to rock chips. However, from my experience, if it is bare plastic that is meant to be painted, it will fade and stain after a while. If you want it matte black, you'll likely be better off painting it matte black (or satin black) than leaving it unpainted.

I originally thought it'd come painted gloss black. Then I though about it, realized it would probably come unpainted, and sure enough it did. Once I saw it in the matte though, I liked it.
